The enacted bill amends Philadelphia’s bicycle-lane rules to authorize the Department of Streets to designate one eastbound bicycle lane and remove one eastbound travel lane on Market Street between North 15th and North 20th Streets. It also authorizes one westbound bicycle lane and the removal of one westbound travel lane on John F. Kennedy Boulevard between those same streets, affecting drivers and bicyclists using these roadways.
Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Bicycle Lanes," by authorizing the Department of Streets to designate a bicycle lane and to remove a travel lane on Market Street and on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, all between North 15th Street and North 20th Street, under certain terms and conditions.
