This enacted ordinance requires the Finance Director to submit quarterly reports on closed civil lawsuits and other legal claims involving the City that resulted in payments, including claim details and payment amounts, with reports published in a searchable format for the public. It also creates an interagency group to review the reports and recommend ways to address systemic misconduct and reduce future City liability, while protecting information covered by investigations, legal privilege, or permitted confidentiality agreements.

Amending Title 21 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Miscellaneous," by adding a new Chapter 21-3100, entitled "Reporting of Settlements of Civil Actions," to establish a system of quarterly reporting and evaluation of means to reduce future liability; all under certain terms and conditions.
