This enacted ordinance requires emergency rooms and departments to send the Philadelphia Department of Public Health quarterly, aggregated information about patients treated for drug overdoses or drug-related withdrawal, including treatment resources provided, follow-up appointments, and take-home naloxone. Information about groups of fewer than 10 patients must remain confidential; the ordinance takes effect on a date set by Board of Health regulations, at least 60 days after those regulations become effective.

Amending Title 6 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Health Code," by amending Chapter 6-200, entitled "Preventive Medicine," to require the reporting of information related to substance use treatment, drug overdose treatment, and related information, to the Department of Public Health, all under certain terms and conditions.
