The enacted ordinance creates the American Street Overlay District in a specified area around American Street. For multifamily developments with frontage on American Street, it requires active nonresidential ground-floor space, at least 20% of units to be affordable to moderate-income households, and meetings and plans addressing affordable-unit occupancy and opportunities for minority-, women-, and disabled-owned businesses and a diverse workforce.

Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," to amend certain provisions of Chapter 14-500, entitled "Overlay Zoning Districts," by creating the "/AME, American Street Overlay District," all under certain terms and conditions.
