This enacted ordinance authorized restaurants to operate sidewalk cafes during the COVID-19 emergency through December 31, 2020, including in areas where special approval was otherwise required. It also allowed currently licensed cafes, and cafes operating under the ordinance, to use the sidewalk of a neighboring property, with required health and safety rules and waived fees.

Authorizing the operation of sidewalk cafes during the COVID-19 emergency until December 31, 2020 in areas of the City where such activity currently must be otherwise authorized by special ordinance, and allowing expanded activity by currently licensed sidewalk café operations, all under certain terms and conditions.
