The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s rules for fire suppression system workers by adding specialty certificates for water-based system inspections and commercial kitchen fire-extinguishing systems. It sets qualification standards, application and renewal fees, training requirements, certification cards, and supervision rules for certified workers and apprentices. The ordinance takes effect 18 months after becoming law.
Amending Chapter 9-2500 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Fire Suppression System Workers," to provide for additional licensing requirements for fire suppression system workers, all under certain terms and conditions.
