This enacted ordinance amended Philadelphia’s rules for newsstands. It allows newsstands to sell or offer additional items, including SEPTA Key cards, bus tickets, hand sanitizer, face masks, toiletries, nonprescription pain relievers, and certain food, beverage, phone, travel, and lottery products, subject to applicable licensing and permitting requirements.

Amending Section 9-212 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Newsstands," by expanding the allowable items newsstands can sell and offer, all under certain terms and conditions.
