The enacted ordinance revises Philadelphia’s rules for bouncers. It defines covered establishments to include nightclubs, bars, restaurants with 30 or more seats, private clubs, banquet halls, and similar places without mostly fixed seating, and defines bouncers as people who regularly help with security or order and safety, including checking identification for entry. The changes take effect six months after the ordinance becomes law.
