READ AND PASSED
This enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s licensing and conduct rules for contractors. It requires applicants and renewals to confirm that people with actively suspended or revoked trade licenses do not own or knowingly work for the applicant, requires contractors to cooperate with city audits and investigations, and prohibits certain employment relationships. It also adds grounds for suspending or revoking a contractor’s license, including removing or willfully violating a stop-work order, fraud or deceit during an investigation, and code violations that create a significant dangerous condition or public-safety risk.
Amending Chapter 9-1000 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Trades," to modify licensing and conduct requirements applicable to contractors; all under certain terms and conditions.
