This enacted ordinance updates Philadelphia’s rules for off-road vehicles by defining all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes, and dune buggies and prohibiting people from operating, parking, or storing dirt bikes or dune buggies on public sidewalks or public property, including parks and recreation facilities, unless authorized. It allows limited temporary placement for lawful transport and provides for vehicle seizure, forfeiture, or a civil penalty of up to $2,000 in specified circumstances.
Amending Section 12-1133 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "All-Terrain Vehicles," to address off-road vehicle use in the City of Philadelphia, all under certain terms and conditions.
