READ AND PASSED
The enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s evening curfew for minors: midnight for those age 16 and older, 10 p.m. for ages 14–15, and 9:30 p.m. for those age 13 and younger. The curfew does not apply when a minor is with a parent, carrying out a parent-directed errand, working legally, or on active military duty; it also changes how police handle suspected violations and removes the listed fines and penalties for minors, parents, and establishments.
Amending Chapter 10-300, entitled "Minors," to revise the evening curfew hours, modify the provisions for enforcement and penalties, and make technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
