This enacted measure created a COVID-19 vaccination rebate voucher program offering eligible Philadelphia residents and property owners a $50 gift certificate after receiving a vaccination on or after the enactment date. Each person could receive only one certificate, with up to 100,000 certificates issued on a first-come, first-served basis; the program was set to end one year after enactment.
Amending Chapter 6-200 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Preventative Medicine," by adding a new section offering gift certificates to citizens and property owners of Philadelphia who received vaccinations for COVID-19 in order to incentivize immunizations against the disease; all under certain terms and conditions.
