The enacted ordinance amended zoning rules in the Benjamin Franklin Parkway Area, setting different maximum building heights for several locations, including a general 125-foot limit and higher limits in specified areas. It also allowed certain nonresidential projects in a defined area to follow Center City commercial zoning rules if the developer agreed to pay $2,515,350 to the City for a designated trust fund; these special bulk and massing provisions were set to end on March 31, 2024.
Amending Section 14-502 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "/CTR, Center City Overlay District", by amending certain height regulations and creating bulk and massing controls within the Benjamin Franklin Parkway Area, under certain terms and conditions.
