This enacted ordinance adds rules for leases of commercial property in Philadelphia. Before entering most new commercial lease agreements, landlords must provide information about the property’s zoning and approved uses and give prospective tenants at least seven days to review that information, with certain exceptions; tenants may sue for violations and seek damages and other relief.

Adding a new Chapter 9-5700, entitled "Leasing of Commercial Property," to require commercial lessors to provide certain disclosures before entering lease agreements and to provide related protections to tenants, all under certain terms and conditions.
