This enacted ordinance adds workforce housing provisions to Philadelphia’s community development rules. Housing programs funded under those rules, including homeownership, rental, and purchase assistance programs, must give a preference to qualified City of Philadelphia employees; workforce housing is defined as housing affordable to households earning up to 120% of area median income. The ordinance also authorizes regulations for applying these preferences and extends the chapter’s applicability through June 30, 2040.

Amending Chapter 21-1100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Community Development," by adding new provisions related to workforce housing programs, amending the applicability period, and making other technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
