This enacted ordinance revises Philadelphia’s zoning rules for landscaping and trees on many development sites, parking lots, loading areas, and drive-throughs. It requires landscape and tree-preservation plans for covered zoning applications, sets standards for buffers, plantings, tree replacement, and parking landscaping, and allows certain waivers with payments supporting the city’s tree canopy; some affordable housing, environmental restoration, and smaller residential projects are exempt from specified requirements.
Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by revising and clarifying certain landscaping requirements and provisions and making related technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
