The enacted measure amends Philadelphia’s rules for issuing special certificates of inspection. Effective June 1, 2025, a drinking fountain at an Educational Group E occupancy that meets the plumbing requirements in Section PM-502.6 will be considered compliant with applicable water-quality requirements for the certificate.
Amending Section A-703.2 of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Special Certificate of Inspection," to include satisfaction of certain plumbing facilities and fixture requirements as means of certifying compliance with certain water quality requirements for issuance of special certificates of inspection, all under certain terms and conditions.
