This enacted law adds privacy protections for personally identifiable information connected to reproductive healthcare in Philadelphia. It generally prohibits people from disclosing that information when they know or should know it will be used to harass patients, providers, or people who support reproductive healthcare, with exceptions required by law or court order and for certain healthcare and insurance purposes. People harmed by a violation may seek damages and legal costs, and the City may seek court orders to stop continued violations.
Adding a new Chapter 6-1400 to The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Privacy of Certain Health Information," to establish privacy protections for information related to reproductive healthcare, all under certain terms and conditions.
