Enacted legislation requires City departments that manage City property to create lactation spaces for City employees and, when feasible, members of the public. These clean, private spaces must include an electrical outlet, a surface, a chair, and nearby running water; new City buildings and renovated City-owned or occupied buildings must include an appropriate number and location of these spaces, with annual reporting on installations.

Amending Title 16 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Property," by adding a new Chapter requiring the creation of lactation spaces; all under certain terms and conditions.
