This enacted bill authorizes Philadelphia’s Procurement Commissioner to make fixed-rate purchases of electricity and natural gas for City facilities and motor fuel for City vehicles for Fiscal Year 2027. The purchases must be made through competitively selected suppliers, with the Commissioner considering advice from the Philadelphia Energy Authority and filing an annual report with City Council.
Authorizing the Procurement Commissioner to enter into agreements to purchase electricity, natural gas and motor fuel for use by the City in City facilities and vehicles, including agreements that obligate payment for delivery of such energy supplies in future fiscal years, all under certain terms and conditions.
