Roll-call voteBill 240427-AA

READ AND PASSED

This bill would amend Philadelphia’s zoning rules for nonconforming uses. In the 5th, 8th, and 10th Councilmanic Districts, a nonconforming use would be considered abandoned if it is discontinued and a new use is established without a zoning permit; it could then be reinstated only through a zoning variance. The bill is currently on the Council’s suspension calendar and has not been described here as enacted.

Amending Section 14-305 of the Philadelphia Code entitled "Nonconformities," by providing further provisions on changes from non-conforming uses; all under certain terms and conditions.
