The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s Consumer Protection Ordinance to require that claims be filed in court within six years of the alleged violation. It also applies the ordinance retroactively to conduct occurring within six years before enactment when that conduct would also have violated Pennsylvania’s consumer protection law at the time.

Amending Chapter 9-6300 ("Consumer Protection Ordinance") of The Philadelphia Code to clarify the statute of limitations and provide for retroactivity, all under certain terms and conditions.
