This enacted ordinance requires law enforcement officers working in Philadelphia to visibly display identifying information, identify themselves in specified interactions, and use clearly marked vehicles, with limited exceptions for situations such as undercover work, safety risks, and medical or religious reasons. It also prohibits impersonating a law enforcement officer and allows criminal penalties and civil lawsuits for certain violations, affecting local, state, and federal law enforcement officers and their agencies operating in Philadelphia.

Amending Title 10 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity," to prohibit law enforcement officers from concealing their identity, require officers to visibly display their badge and other official identifying information, prohibit the impersonation of law enforcement officers, and provide for civil and criminal enforcement of violations, all under certain terms and conditions.
