This enacted bill removes expired provisions that had allowed businesses with sidewalk café, streetery, temporary street-closure, temporary lot-closure, or temporary-use permits to provide outdoor entertainment under specific conditions. The removed provisions included rules on advance notice, performer masks, equipment removal, pedestrian access, performance limits, and City restrictions on permits and hours.

Amending Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Sidewalk Cafés,” and Section A-301.1.5 of Title 4, Subcode “A” (“The Philadelphia Administrative Code”) of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Zoning and Use Registration Permits,” by removing expired provisions related to outdoor entertainment at sidewalk cafés, under certain terms and conditions.
