The enacted ordinance revises enforcement of Philadelphia’s sidewalk café rules, setting a $300-per-day fine for certain violations and fines of up to $300 for repeat violations. In the First, Second, Fifth, and Eighth Council Districts, qualifying restaurants with pending sidewalk café applications and tables and chairs but no structure face a $75-per-quarter fine; this temporary provision applies to applications submitted by June 1, 2026, and expires October 1, 2026.

Amending Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Sidewalk Cafés," to revise remedies and provide for enforcement of sidewalk cafés provisions, all under certain terms and conditions.
