This enacted ordinance approves updated redevelopment, urban renewal, and relocation plans for the Model Cities Urban Renewal Area.
Amending an Ordinance approved December 15, 1969, as amended, which approved the redevelopment proposal, the urban renewal plan and the relocation plan of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia for the redevelopment of the Model Cities Urban Renewal Area, by approving the twenty-sixth amendment of the redevelopment proposal, the eighteenth amendment to the urban renewal plan and the seventeenth amendment to the relocation plan, which provide, inter alia, for additional land acquisitions of approximately five (5) properties and provision of certain relocation services, as required by law.

This enacted ordinance authorizes McDonald’s, the tenant at 942 Market Street, to construct and maintain planters, awnings, a cornice, a façade feature, and a banner that extend into or over the public sidewalks along Market and Tenth Streets.

The enacted ordinance authorizes changes to the City Plan that relocate part of Bridge Street between Penn Street and Bustleton Avenue and officially open a cutback at Frankford Avenue and Pratt Street, along with the relocated section of Bridge Street.
Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 329 by relocating a portion of Bridge street between Penn street and Bustleton avenue and by declaring the unopened portion of the cut-back at the northwest corner of Frankford avenue and Pratt street to be legally open, and by declaring the relocated portion of Bridge street to be legally open, under certain terms and conditions.
