This lapsed bill would have removed designated locations where vending was permitted in Center City: the east side of Seventeenth Street between Arch Street and John F.
Amending the Ordinance approved January 3, 1992 (Bill No. 1205-AA), which, pursuant to subsection 9-204(8)(a) of The Philadelphia Code, designates the locations in Center City at which vending is permitted, by deleting all permitted vendor locations on the East side of Seventeenth street between Arch street and John F. Kennedy boulevard, on the North side of John F. Kennedy boulevard between Seventeenth street and Eighteenth street, and the West side of Eighteenth street between Arch street and John F. Kennedy boulevard, all under certain terms and conditions.

The enacted ordinance authorizes changes to the City Plan by removing Whitten Street between Haldeman Avenue and Jamison Street and adding Reilly Road and Conwell Avenue between the specified connecting streets.
Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 358 by striking from the City Plan Whitten street from Haldeman avenue to Jamison street and by placing on the City Plan Reilly road and Conwell avenue, all under certain terms and conditions including the dedication to the City, free and clear of all encumbrances, of the beds of Reilly road and Conwell avenue.

This enacted ordinance amended Philadelphia’s Emergency Nuisance Abatement Program by adding properties in the 25th, 31st, and 45th Wards to the areas eligible for the program.

This enacted measure establishes a Philadelphia job creation tax credit for eligible businesses that create at least 25 full-time jobs or increase their workforce by at least 20% within five years.
Amending Chapter 19-2600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Business Privilege Taxes," by establishing a program under which a Job Creation Tax Credit will be given to certain businesses creating new jobs in the City of Philadelphia; all under certain terms and conditions.

Amending Chapter 19-2600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Business Privilege Taxes," by eliminating the prepaid structure of the tax, by clarifying the period to be used in computation of the tax, by requiring the payment of an estimated payment, by ensuring that gains from the termination of the business are subject to tax, by clarifying the treatment of calendar and fiscal taxpayers and by amending definitions of the tax, under certain terms and conditions.

This lapsed bill would have changed Philadelphia rules for conduct on public transportation and in transit stations.
Amending Section 10-602 of The Philadelphia Code with respect to smoking on any vehicle of public transportation and in any public transit station or fare-paid area and increasing the amount to be paid in response to a violation notice to waive court appearance; amending Section 10-605 of the Code to increase the penalty for consuming food or beverages on a vehicle of public transportation; amending Section 10-606 of the Code to clarify the penalties for violations under Chapter 10-600; and amending Section 10-609 of the Code with respect to urination or defecation on a vehicle of public transportation; all under certain terms and conditions.
