This adopted resolution authorizes City Council’s Commerce and Economic Development Committee to hold public hearings about the use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and the employment of women, disabled residents, and minority residents on local construction projects and City procurement contracts.

This lapsed bill would have authorized the City’s Finance Director to amend its contract with the Philadelphia Parking Authority so that up to $9 million in unspent 1999 parking bond proceeds could fund substitute parking facilities at Eighth and Chestnut streets and additional facilities at Eighth and Market streets, instead of acquiring the previously planned garage.
