Bill 070338Continuing a neighborhood improvement district beyond the date of termination of such district in an area bounded generally by the eastern side of Tulip Street, the northern side of Allegheny Avenue, the western side of Amber Street, and the northern side of Venango Street, known as the Port Richmond Industrial Development Enterprise (PRIDE) Neighborhood Improvement District ("District"); continuing PRIDE, Inc., a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, as the Neighborhood Improvement District Management Association for the District; approving a final plan for the District, including a list of proposed improvements and their estimated cost, and providing for assessment fees to be levied on property owners within the District; authorizing the Director of Commerce, on behalf of the City, to execute an agreement with PRIDE, Inc.

Resolution 070212Authorizing City Council's Committee on Transportation and Public Utilities to determine the safety of our public school children who are transported to and from school in school buses not equipped with seat belt restraints; and to determine whether there are not immediate alternatives available for the protection of our children when riding school buses; and to determine the means, methods and criterion used by the Philadelphia School Reform Commission to ensure the safety of children transported to and from school under their supervision.

Resolution 070211Authorizing City Council's Committee on the Disabled and the Handicapped to hold hearings to investigate and determine how many disabled and/or handicapped school age children are transported to and from school under the supervision of the Philadelphia School Reform Commission; and to determine the means, methods and criterion used by the Philadelphia School Reform Commission to ensure the safety of this group of children in transit; and to determine what are the special transportation needs of this group of children and what can be done to address these needs.
