This enacted law allows a judge to issue a warrant to temporarily remove firearms from a person when a Commonwealth attorney or two police officers provide probable cause that the person poses an imminent risk of injury to themselves or others and possesses firearms in Philadelphia.
Amending Chapter 10-800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Safety," by adding a new Section, entitled "Temporary Removal of Firearms of Persons Posing a Risk of Imminent Personal Injury to Self or Others."

This enacted change to Philadelphia’s residence requirements allows most City civil-service employees to be appointed without already living in Philadelphia.
Amending Section 20-101 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Residence Requirements," by providing that certain employees in the civil service need not be a bona fide resident of the City when appointed, but must establish and maintain bona fide residence in the City within six months after appointment.
