Adopted legislation also names the section of East Passyunk Avenue between South Street and Bainbridge Street the “Avenue of The Roots.” The designation recognizes The Roots, the Philadelphia-founded music group whose members began performing on city streets, including East Passyunk Avenue and South Street.

The enacted bill authorizes the City to move the southwest property line of Byberry Road about two feet southwest between specified points northwest of Roosevelt Boulevard, widening that section of the road.
Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 359 by relocating the southwesterly houseline of Byberry Road approximately two feet southwestwardly between a point approximately four-hundred one feet northwest of The Roosevelt Boulevard to a point approximately five-hundred fifty feet further northwestwardly therefrom, thereby widening said Byberry Road between such points, all under certain terms and conditions, including the dedication to the City of the bed of the widened portion of Byberry Road being placed on the City Plan.

This enacted ordinance amends a 2019 ordinance concerning the placement of Alter Street between Seventeenth and Eighteenth Streets on the City Plan to better match existing conditions.
