Philadelphia City Council adopted a resolution designating March 8, 2023, as “Joe Frazier Day” in honor of Joe Frazier’s victory over Muhammad Ali in the 1971 “Fight of the Century.” The resolution also provides for an engrossed copy to be presented to Frazier’s family as a sign of the Council’s respect and admiration.
