Full Bill

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

Section 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to acquire some or all of certain real estate parcels described in Exhibit “A” hereto, subject to the terms of a Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement to be executed between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia in a form substantially similar to the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “B”, wherein the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal government will reimburse the City of Philadelphia for 97% of the acquisition and project costs.

Section 2. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to acquire some or all of a certain real estate parcel located at 8053 Lindbergh boulevard for fair market value as appraised by the appraiser used to appraise the majority of the properties contained in Exhibit A, provided that the following properties are acquired pursuant to the terms of a Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement to be executed between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia in a form substantially similar to the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit B: 8043 Lindbergh boulevard, 8045 Lindbergh boulevard, 8047 Lindbergh boulevard, 8049 Lindbergh boulevard, 8051 Lindbergh boulevard and 8055 Lindbergh boulevard. The City of Philadelphia will be responsible for 100% of the acquisition costs for 8053 Lindbergh boulevard.

Section 3. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to acquire some or all of a certain real estate parcel located at 7862 Venus place for fair market value as appraised by the appraiser used to appraise the majority of the properties contained in Exhibit A, provided that the following properties are acquired pursuant to the terms of a Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement to be executed between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia in a form substantially similar to the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit B: 7854 Venus place, 7856 Venus place, 7858 Venus place, 7860 Venus place, 7864 Venus place and 7866 Venus place. The City of Philadelphia will be responsible for 100% of the acquisition costs for 7862 Venus place.

Section 4. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interest of the City of Philadelphia and to carry out the purposes of this Ordinance.

SECTION 5. The Chief Clerk of City Council shall keep on file all exhibits referenced in this Ordinance and shall make them available for inspection by the public during regular office hours.
