THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1.

The Streets Commissioner, on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of General Services for the grant by the Commonwealth to the City of a right-of-way for sewer and drainage purposes extending through a portion of property located at the northwest corner of Thirteenth Street and Arch Street, the said right-of-way being more particularly described as follows:

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground, situate in the Fifth Ward of the City of Philadelphia, and described as follows:

BEGINNING AT A POINT, said point being the point of intersection of the westerly side of Thirteenth Street (fifty feet wide) and the northerly side of Arch Street (seventy feet wide, legally open sixty feet wide); thence extending South eleven degrees twentyminutes West, along the said westerly side of Thirteenth Street, the distance of three feet to a point; thence extending North seventydegrees fiftyminutes West, along a line parallel with and three feet south of the said northerly side of Arch Street, the distance of fortyand twothirteen one feet to a point; thence extending North sixty degrees nine minutes eight seconds East, crossing the said northerly side of Arch Street, the distance of thirtyseven and eightyone feet to a point; thence extending South seventydegrees fortyminutes twelve seconds East, the distance of eleven and oneseven one feet to a point; thence extending North fourteen degrees thirty minutes eleven seconds East, the distance of five and sixfive one feet to a point; thence extending North fiftyfive degrees fortyminutes fiftyseconds East, the distance of fourteen and onefiftyonethousandths feet to a point on the said westerly side of Thirteenth Street; thence extending South eleven degrees twentyminutes West, along the said westerly side of Thirteenth Street, the distance of thirtyand sevenfour one feet to the FIRST MENTIONED POINT AND PLACE OF BEGINNING.

CONTAINING IN AREA

ninehundred fifty Square Feet (including oneforty square feet within the unopened portion of the bed of Arch Street).

BEING an irregularlyright-of-way for sewer and drainage purposes adjacent to the westerly side of said Thirteenth Street and the northerly side of said Arch Street.

SECTION 2.

The City Solicitor shall include in the said agreement such terms and conditions as may be deemed necessary to protect the interests of the City.

SECTION 3.

The Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to approve a plan to plot upon a portion of City Plan No. 307 the said right-of-way being established under authority of Section 1 herein.
