THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 14-304(4) of The Philadelphia Code, The Institutional (Special Purpose) District Master Plan of Drexel University is hereby amended by allowing for the construction of a new building resulting in approximately 145,000 net gross floor area total, to be used as a new hotel, with ground floor retail, as set forth in attached Exhibit “A”, which is on file with the Chief Clerk's Office, and a copy of which is attached hereto for reference.

SECTION 2. Statement of Diversity Practices and Economic Opportunity Plan. In accordance with Title 17, Section 1600 of the City of Philadelphia Code, a Statement of Diversity Practices and an Economic Opportunity Plan for the project are attached as Exhibits “B” and “C”, respectively, and are on file with the Chief Clerk's Office.

SECTION 3.

It is hereby acknowledged, based upon the letter from the developer and attached hereto as Exhibit “D”, that Study Hotels shall provide the same wage and benefit standards as defined under Section 17-1305 of the Philadelphia Code, entitled "Philadelphia

21st

Century Minimum Wage and Benefit Standard," for all hotel employees as defined in Section 17-1302 of the Philadelphia Code.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
