The enacted ordinance amends Drexel University’s Institutional Special Purpose District Master Plan near 33rd and Chestnut Streets to allow construction of an approximately 145,000-square-foot hotel with ground-floor retail space. It also includes diversity and economic opportunity plans and requires the hotel to provide its employees with the wage and benefit standards specified in the Philadelphia Code.

To amend the Institutional (Special Purpose) District Master Plan of Drexel University, in the vicinity of 33rd Street and Chestnut Street, for the construction of a new hotel with retail space.
