Amending Subcode F of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Fire Code," to establish limitations on the use of hydrogen fluoride and hydrofluoric acid, under certain terms and conditions.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

F.5001.10. Restriction on Use of Hydrogen Fluoride. No facility engaged in the processing or production of gasoline, heating oil, or other hydrocarbon products from petroleum or crude oil shall use hydrogen fluoride, meaning anhydrous, aqueous, or any mixture of hydrogen fluoride, including hydrofluoric acid and modified hydrofluoric acid, as an
alkylation
catalyst or for any other petroleum or crude-oil processing purpose.
