This enacted change to Philadelphia’s Fire Code prohibits facilities that process or produce gasoline, heating oil, or other hydrocarbon products from petroleum or crude oil from using hydrogen fluoride, including hydrofluoric acid and modified hydrofluoric acid. The restriction applies when these substances would be used as an alkylation catalyst or for any other petroleum- or crude-oil-processing purpose.

Amending Subcode F of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Fire Code," to establish limitations on the use of hydrogen fluoride and hydrofluoric acid, under certain terms and conditions.
