THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows:

§ 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes.

(2)

The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations:

(*) Woodland Avenue, from Chester Avenue to South 42nd Street: One bicycle lane in each direction, and the removal of a parking lane on the south side of the street within the same limits.

SECTION 2. All existing street specific parking regulations on the following street is hereby terminated:

Woodland Avenue, south side, from Chester Avenue to South 42nd Street.

SECTION 3. The following parking regulations are hereby established:

Woodland Avenue, south side, from Chester Avenue to South 42nd Street.

NO STOPPING ANYTIME

SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall take effect as follows:

(a)

Section 1: Immediately.

(b)

Section 2: Upon placement of parking signage consistent with this Ordinance.

(c)

Section 3: Upon placement of parking signage consistent with this Ordinance.
