THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows:

§ 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes.

The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations:

North 22nd Street, from Spring Garden Street to Green Street: One bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits

SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
