The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s payroll-deduction rules to allow Philadelphia firefighters to authorize deductions from their paychecks for premiums on insurance policies issued by the Hartford insurance company. It took effect immediately and applies to City employees who are Philadelphia firefighters.

Amending Section 19-203 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Payroll Deductions" by adding a new provision to allow for payroll deductions by Philadelphia Firefighters for insurance premiums paid to the Hartford Life Insurance Company.
