This enacted ordinance extended until December 31, 2000, the deadline for meeting the conditions of a 1997 ordinance concerning changes to street lines and grades in the area around Poplar, Twelfth, Parrish, and Watts Streets. The earlier ordinance revised Ogden Street, vacated Myrtle Street between Twelfth and Watts Streets, and required dedication of certain unopened portions of Ogden Street to the City; this ordinance also required a $200 payment toward City costs within 60 days after it became law.

Amending Section 2 of an Ordinance (Bill No. 970348) approved July 1, 1997, entitled "An Ordinance authorizing and directing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 58 of an area bounded by Poplar street, Twelfth street, Parrish street and Watts street, by revising the lines and grades of Ogden street from Watts street to Thirteenth street and by striking from the City Plan and vacating Myrtle street from Twelfth street to Watts street, all under certain terms and conditions, including the dedication to the City of the unopened portions of the widened portions of Ogden street," by extending the period for compliance with the authorization conditions therein.
