This enacted law changes the rules for public parking garages in Philadelphia. Garage operators must notify the Department in writing at least 72 hours before changing rates, changes can begin only on the first day of a month and must remain in effect for at least one month, and garages may not charge higher special-event rates than their regular rates.

Amending Title 9 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Regulation of Businesses, Trades, and Professions," by amending Section 9-601, entitled "Garages, Parking Lots, Sales Lots and Showrooms," by providing further for the filing of rates by public parking garages, under certain terms and conditions.
