The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s Public Employees Retirement Code to add the Local 22 Fire Political Action Committee (FIREPAC) to the organizations that can receive deductions from retirement benefit payments. A member, survivor, or beneficiary may direct the deduction in writing, and the ordinance took effect immediately.

Amending Title 22 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Employees Retirement Code," by amending Section 22-1303, entitled "Exemption from Attachment," by adding Local 22 Fire Political Action Committee (FIREPAC) to the list of designated payees to whom a member may direct deductions from benefits payments, all under certain terms and conditions.
