This enacted ordinance authorizes the Parks & Recreation Commissioner to enter into an agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to maintain a shared-use trail at the Girard Avenue interchange and Interstate 95. PennDOT will construct and own the trail, while the City will maintain it for at least four years; the trail is intended to connect the East Coast Greenway and Port Richmond Trail and support pedestrian, bicycle, and other limited non-motorized recreational use.
