The enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s refuse and littering rules by setting a $1,000 fine for each violation of most provisions in Chapter 10-700. Violations of Section 10-717.1 carry a $500 fine, and the ordinance took effect immediately.
Amending Chapter 10-700 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Refuse and Littering," by amending Section 10-719, entitled "Penalties," by revising the penalty to be assessed for violations of this chapter; all under certain terms and conditions.
