READ AND PASSED

This enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s rules for motor-vehicle repair businesses. It prohibits people who own, operate, control, or work for those businesses from using City sidewalks or streets, including parking spaces, to repair, sell, or temporarily place vehicles, with an exception for emergency road service more than 500 feet from a repair facility; violations carry a $300 fine per vehicle per day, plus costs.

Amending Section 9-207 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Motor Vehicle Repairs," to prohibit the use of City streets for the sale or storage of motor vehicles, and revising penalties, all under certain terms and conditions.
