The enacted measure revises the City’s sidewalk-sales rules for areas near City parks, playgrounds, and recreation centers. It defines the sidewalk in those locations as the space between the curb and the facility’s boundary and prohibits vending on or next to those areas unless the Department of Parks and Recreation issues a permit.

Amending Section 9-203 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Sidewalk Sales," to revise and clarify certain provisions related to City parks and recreation facilities and make related technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
