The enacted bill amends Philadelphia’s real estate tax rules to require the Office of Property Assessment to provide an informal review process for any property assessment for tax year 2025. The review may consider whether an assessment should be adjusted because of a mistake or another relevant consideration, using evidence submitted by November 18, 2024.
Amending Chapter 19-1300 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Real Estate Taxes," to provide for a mechanism for informal review of individual property assessments, all under certain terms and conditions.
