The enacted ordinance changes how certain leave benefits are administered during a pandemic or epidemic affecting Philadelphia. During a related public health emergency, health care employers must provide benefits to pool employees and other health care employees who contract the disease if they worked for that employer at least 40 hours in the previous three months; it also makes related definition and technical changes.

Amending Chapter 9-4100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Promoting Healthy Families and Workplaces," to modify the manner in which certain leave benefits are administered during a pandemic or epidemic, and making technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
